RUSSIAN ROASTING STYLES MEET THE MIDDLE EAST: A CUPPING RECAP
What a fantastic gathering we had! Recently, I organized a cupping session for the Middle East’s coffee community, highlighting some truly standout coffees from Russian roasteries. The event was packed, with baristas, roasters, and coffee enthusiasts all eager to explore what makes Russian specialty coffee unique.
Discovering New Flavor Profiles
We had a diverse lineup of coffees, from bright and juicy to rich and full-bodied, each representing the meticulous approach of Russian roasters. The feedback? Incredible. Many were surprised by the emphasis on clarity, sweetness, and the use of innovative processing techniques. It sparked conversations and new ideas about how different roasting styles can inspire our own coffee work. I brought my perosnal preferences such as Kenya, Colombia and other washed coffees roasted specifically for filter coffee
Looking Ahead Bringing these global experiences to our local scene is just the beginning. The specialty coffee world has so much to offer, and I’m excited to continue fostering these exchanges. Huge thanks to everyone who came, tasted, and shared their thoughts. Let’s keep growing as a community!
Stay tuned for more events, and keep brewing with passion.
